Upasana Priyam was born on 1999 to Gitanjali Sarma at Pathsala, Assam. She has a brother 'Debashis Pratim Sarma'. Upasana is now 21 years old.

She studied at Sikshapith School, Pathsala. She passed her HSLC for this school.

She passed her HS (Class 12) from Cotton College, Guwahati.

Now she is pursuing a B.A degree from Cotton College, Guwahati.

Upasana loves acting, modelling from a very small age. She loves cats very much. She is also a very brilliant student and painter. She always takes part in cultural activities. She also loves anchoring.

Upasana has also done anchoring for a documentary for Swachha Bharat Abhiyan. She also worked at Namami Brahmaputra Festival, Guwahati.
