Deeplina Deka was born on 7 February 1992 to Babul Kumar Deka and Padumi Deka at Bamunimaidam, Guwahati, Assam. But after a year her family shifted to Jagiroad, Assam because her father worked at Jagiroad Paper Mill. Then again her family shifted to Guwahati after she was in class 10th. She has an elder sister. Pori is her nickname.
Deeplina loves singing and dancing from her childhood. But she loves dancing more than singing. She learnt 'Kathak' dance for 3 years and after that, she started practising modern dance. She always participated in a dance competition in her hometown. She also participated in Children's drama competition. She trained as a Kathak Dancer and held Vishard Degree in classical music.
Deeplina was very good at studies and also at sports. She was a national level badminton player.
She completed her schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jagiroad.
She completed her 11th and 12th from Maharishi Vidya Mandir Silpukhuri, Guwahati.
She completed her B.Tech in Electrical engineering in 2015 from Girijananda Institute of Management and Technology, Guwahati.

Deeplina Deka debuted in the Assamese Superhit movie 'Mission China' along with Assam's heartthrob Zubeen Garg on 2017. Mission China was directed by Zubeen Garg and became the highest-grossing Assamese movie. She got her biggest breakthrough from this movie.
Deeplina also sings makes music videos. Her music videos are superhit. She got offers from Assamese Serial directors and other singers for music videos also. But she turned down due to her heavy work schedule. She also works as an anchor.
Deeplina Deka also worked at Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd after her engineering degree but she decided to give an audition for 'Mission China' movie and she was selected. This incident gave a boost to her passion and she left her job and entered in the Assamese music and film industry.
Deeplina debuted in music video 'Nuwari Nuwari' along with Utpal Das released on 23 Feb 2015. She also works as an anchor on Doordarshan Channel.
