Jeanette Bay was born on 18 November to Mahesh Bay and Anuprbha Buragohain Bay at Guwahati, Assam. She has a twin sister 'Kerline Bay Deb' and an elder sister. She is a Karbi girl.
She did her schooling from Step by Step English Medium School, Hengrabari, Guwhati.
She passed her class 11th and 12th from Gauhati Commerce College, Guwahati.
She also did her graduation in commerce from Gauhati Commerce College, Guwahati.

Jeanette Bay first entered in her career as a model in late 2015. During her graduation days, she first entered in modelling. But never thought to become a model from her childhood. She just went to Fashion Diva Guwahati audition with her friend in Guwahati. But her friends told her to give a try and surprisingly she got selected and became 1st runner up. In 2016 she received the award of 'Most Trendy Diva' at Femina India. She appeared as a model in many magazines. Jeanette won Miss Falcon 2018. She also won Miss Perfect 10 (sub contest).
Assamese music video directors saw her and gave the offer to act in music videos. She was featured in many Assamese music videos. She has appeared in many popular music videos. She got a big offer to act in a music video 'Mur Monore Kolponat' along with Zubeen Garg. She started to gain fame.
In 2020 she got a big breakthrough when she got an offer from an Assamese director Rupkamal Hazarika to act in an Assamese Serial 'Auxir Jonak' along with costar Utpal Das. She became an overnight sensation in Assam. She got a major role as 'Shruti'.
Auxir Jonak is now featuring on Rang TV Channel.
