Early Life :
Amrita Gogoi was born in Khorgaon Ghurasoa located at Sivasagar district (Assam), to Amrit Gogoi and Jita Gogoi on 22nd December. Now she lives in Guwahati with her mother and sister Madhusmita Gogoi. She has also another name Debojita. She has lots of nicknames. Amrita's father called her Jaan and other family members called her Shunjoni and all neighbours called her Mamata. She is an Ahom girl. Amrita Gogoi is blessed with a baby girl born in 2021.
Amrita Gogoi did her schooling from Joysagar Basic Primary School till class 4. Then she moved to Borpatra Dol High School, Kalugaon. After that, she admitted to Sivsagar Govt. HS and MP School and took arts stream in class 11th and 12th classes.
Amrita Gogoi did her BA (major in political science) from Cotton University, Guwahati. Then she moved to Guwahati University and completed her MA.

Career Information :
Amrita Gogoi was a Satriya dancer. She first learnt Satriya Nritya (dance) at about 3 years. When she was 3 years old she first went to stage for performing Krishna Nritya at Amguri, Sivasagar.
She participated in a competition called Moi Axom Dekhor Suwali in Rang Channel, 2010 and that was her first camera experience. Also, she was the winner of that competition.
She acted in many video songs and Assamese films. Her turning point in life was Pedal Mari Mari song by Babu. She gains popularity with that song.
Her first film was 'Ahetuk'. Some other Assamese films are Dur, etc
Amrita Gogoi’s most popular movies include Ahetuk,2015 (which won her the Best Actor Female award in Prag Cine Awards North-East in 2017), Soi Gaaor Chompa, Dur, Konwarpurar Konwar, Nijanor Gaan, etc.
