Abhishek Mukherjee aka Van M is one of the most popular rappers in Assam. He sings rap songs in the Assamese Language, Hindi and in English. Van M is one of the members of Savage of the Street (Band).

Abhishek Mukherjee aka Van M is an Assamese Rapper and also an electronics and communication engineer.
Abhishek Mukherjee was born in 1994 at Kampur, Assam. He was a very shy guy from childhood. He loves to play football from his childhood. He is a die-hard football fan. His favourite football player is Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
He studied at Sankardev Bidya Niketon, Kampur, Assam up to class 10.
He studied at Ramanujan Junior College, Nagaon, Assam up to class 12.
He studied B.Tech (Electronics and communication engineering) at NIT Silchar.
Abhishek used to listen and sing rap songs of Eminem, 2pac, etc. He also plays football in NIT Silchar. He played for Tornado FC in NIT Silchar.

Abhishek Mukherjee is working as a Physics Faculty at ALLEN Career Institute, Guwahati.
Abhishek used to listen and sing rap songs of Eminem, 2pac, etc. But he never thought to become a rapper.
One day he listened to a Bangla rap song Bichar Chai by a Bangladeshi Rapper Fakir Lal Miah and he got inspired to write his own song. So, he wrote his first rap song in Assamese "Durniti". He posted the video of Durniti song on Youtube and it became hit instantly. It was his first video in youtube but it got a million views.
Till now he has posted six rap songs in youtube namely 'Durniti', 'Bibhajon', 'Aatankwaad' 'Hip Hop Bachao Abhiyan', 'Xongharxo' and 'Ache Din??'.
Abhishek has many future plans. He is now doing Rap songs as a part-time but from 2020 onwards he will do it as a full time. He will also organise shows with his band 'Savage of the Street' from 2020.
