Junu Nath was born on 25 September to Dharmeshwar Nath and Kanaklata Nath at Barpeta Road, Assam. She has a younger sister, 'Sunmoni Nath'.
She studied at Shankardev Shishu Niketan, Barpeta Road till Class 10.
She did her H.S and degree from Krishna Kanta Handiqui Junior College, Pathsala
After completing her degree she was doing an Aviation course in Guwahati and also she was doing a job for about 4 months. But she was selected for a role in an Assamese film.

In 2015, she did a photoshoot for an Assamese magazine. Then an Assamese film director saw her photos and invited her to give an audition for a film.
She gave the audition for a role in Assamese Film 'Kokaideu Bindaas'. She was very nervous because she never did any acting in her entire life. She was a dancer from childhood. But, she was selected for the role. 'Kokaideu Bindaas' was released in March 2018. It was her debut Assamese Film.
In 2017, she also did a role in Assamese Serial 'Jonaki Kareng'.
In 2019, Junu played the lead character in an Assamese Mega Serial 'Nupur'. Nupur was a huge success and she became popular in Assam. Also, the character name of her is Nupur. People loved her acting very much.
In 2020, Junu played the lead character in an Assamese Mega Serial 'Namami'. Namami is currently airing on Rang TV Channel.
