Angusmita Gogoi was born in Tingkhong a small place in Dibrugarh, to Monindra Kumar Gogoi and Manoni Gogoi. She also has a brother.

She did her schooling from Tingkhong Model Academy, Dibrugarh.
She did her Higher Secondary i.e 11th and 12th from R.d Junior College, Digboi.
She did her BA LLB from Dibrugarh University.

Angusmita came to Guwahati in 2018 after completing her BA LLB (H) from Dibrugarh University. She came to Guwahati in 2018 to do practice in Gauhati High Court. She loved acting from a very small age. She did many dramas in school, college and university. So for her passion for acting, she contacted a director Rajesh of Rengoni TV. She went to Rengoni Office and Rajesh offered her a role as a guest artist but the serial was not enclosed.

After a week she received a call from Rajesh and he offered her a guest role in a serial 'Sunderpur Guesthouse'. After the shooting in 'Sunderpur Guesthouse', she got another offer from Prag News as an anchor in a popular show 'Bishwor Ajob Khobor'.

Then she again got an offer in the most popular show of Assam 'Beharbari Outpost'. She played the role of Neha. This time she became very popular in Assam and people also loved her acting.
